Licensing Overview

Every song commissioned through JaSONiQ is uniquely created from your story and is delivered with a licence based on the package you choose. Underlying copyright in the composition, lyrics, and master recording remains with JaSONiQ unless otherwise agreed in writing. You receive the rights to use the finished song as described below.

Starter, Personal Licence

Starter is delivered with a Personal Licence for private, personal use only.

Included:

  • Private and personal use only.
  • Playback at private events (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, memorials, family gatherings).
  • Sharing on personal, non-monetised social media accounts.
  • Gifting to friends and family.

Not included: commercial use, business use, advertising, monetisation.

Signature, Commercial Licence

Signature is delivered with a Commercial Licence suitable for creators, professionals, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Included:

  • Everything included in the Starter package.
  • Commercial use for individuals, creators, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
  • Use on company websites.
  • Use in promotional and marketing materials.
  • Use in branded social media content.
  • YouTube monetisation.
  • Suitable for creator branding and professional promotion.

Transparency: full commercial monetisation rights are reserved for the Business package.

Business, Commercial Licence

Business is delivered with a Commercial Licence granting full commercial and monetisation rights.

Included:

  • Everything included in the Signature package.
  • Full commercial usage rights.
  • Full monetisation rights.
  • Advertising campaigns.
  • Marketing campaigns.
  • Company websites.
  • Podcasts.
  • Streaming platforms.
  • Brand videos.
  • Employee recognition.
  • Internal communications.
  • Events and presentations.

What is not permitted (all packages)

  • Resale, sublicensing, or transfer of the song to third parties.
  • Uploading to royalty-collection or music-distribution services in a way that claims authorship.
  • Use in a manner that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise contrary to our Terms.
